MLC Engine Function 1 (Test Batch)

This Management Level Course for Marine Engineer Officers (Function 1) covers the mandatory minimum requirement for approved education and training as provided for under Regulation III/2 of the STCW Convention, 1978, as amended for chief engineers and second engineers on ships powered by main propulsion machinery of 3,000 kW propulsion or more; and to meet the minimum standard of competence specified in Section A-III/2 of the STCW Code under Function: Marine Engineering at the Management Level.

BT - PERSONAL SURVIVAL TECHNIQUES (Test Batch)

Welcome to the Basic Training – Personal Survival Techniques (BT–PST) course. This training is designed to build the mandatory competence in Personal Survival Techniques under STCW Code Section A-VI/1, Table A-VI/1-1, enabling trainees to survive at sea in the event of ship abandonment. The course has a total indicative duration of sixteen (16) instructional hours, as enumerated in Part B – Course Outline.

To comply with MARINA Memorandum Circular No. SC-2021-10 for Distance Learning and E-Learning, this course is delivered using a SCORM-compliant LMS that supports learner activity and progress tracking, assessment and quiz hosting, completion and certification management, and file submissions with instructor feedback. The course also provides virtual classroom or web-conferencing tools (as applicable) and an accessible helpdesk or technical support channel to ensure smooth and continuous access to learning materials and assessments.

This course will teach you the essential survival actions needed onboard ship—how to prepare for abandonment, respond to emergency situations, use life-saving appliances and survival craft equipment, and apply survival principles until rescue is achieved. You will complete interactive online lessons and formative assessments through the LMS, and you will be guided on how your progress and completion will be recorded in accordance with MARINA MC SC-2021-10 requirements.

BT - ELEMENTARY FIRST AID (Test Batch)

  • Welcome to the Basic Training – Elementary First Aid (BT-EFA) course. This training is designed to build the mandatory competence in Elementary First Aid under STCW Code Section A-VI/1, Table A-VI/1-3, enabling trainees to take immediate action when faced with an accident or medical emergency onboard. The course has an indicative duration of 16 instructional hours, with the theoretical component delivered through Distance Learning (8 hours), supported by guided learning activities and instructor monitoring.

    To comply with MARINA Memorandum Circular No. SC-2021-10 for Distance Learning and E-Learning, this course is delivered using a SCORM-compliant LMS that supports learner progress tracking, assessment/quiz hosting, completion and certification management, and file submissions with instructor feedback. The course also provides web-conferencing capability (as applicable), and an accessible helpdesk/technical support channel to ensure smooth and continuous access to learning materials and assessments.
